So no facts, figures, psychological theories or research this week. No evidence from participant studies and certainly no quoting of our own research and global survey. None of that. This week, just some plain ole common sense.
If you know what you want, then you can focus on getting it.
Let’s just think about that again for effect … if you know what you want then you can focus your energy, your time, your mind, your heart and soul and whatever other resources you can throw at it, on that goal, that wish, that dream and go and get it.
So why aren’t we all doing that?
Because every day time slips through our hands so quickly that the squeakiest wheels get the most attention and those squeaky wheels are most probably not our half thought out goals and ambitions or internal wish list.
You have to be crystal clear about what it is that you want. You have to assess how it fits into everything else that is going on in your life. You have to prioritise it. And you have to get real. You have to find out quick smart if what you are wanting to focus on is really it … is really the thing that if the sh@t hit the fan that it would be the thing you had no regrets pursuing.
Getting that laser beam focus and clarity is tough.
That’s why the goals workbook was created to deliver this clarity and focus. I’m sure there are lots of methods out there that work. But is the one that has not only worked for me but for over 200 of my clients.
So here they are Life Areas Goals and Priorities Workbook
